Size 312 zinc-air cells, the brown-tab standard used by most receiver-in-canal and in-the-ear hearing aids. Mercury free, and supplied on the dial packs customers expect.
This is about as close to a guaranteed repeat purchase as consumer electronics gets: the batteries last days, not months, and the size is dictated by the device rather than chosen. Small, light and non-perishable, so freight is negligible and stock holds indefinitely.
